“Akula” means “shark” in Russian.
Though Akula-2 is a thin-bladed knife, it still remains as multi-functional as the majority of Kizlyar knives. Having a thin sharpened edge, it slices like a straight razor. Having been designed for cutting meat, fish and preparing food, Akula-2 features a broad blade and a large handle catering for exellent control when performing a widest range of slicing and dicing tasks. The 3/32” thick 420J (425 mod) steel blade is mirror polished and hollow ground to a very fine edge.
A notable feature of the Akula-2 Kizlyar knife is the slight sharpening of the part of the butt at the tip of the blade – for cutting small bones. This sharpening does not allow to damage the entrails when cutting fish or fowl.
Each side of the blade is “tattooed” with a detailed image of a shark. This type of decoration is characteristic for the most beautiful Kizlyar knives.
The knife is completed with a handmade sheath of strong genuine leather decorated with an embossed thematic ornamented pattern.
The knife is not considered a cold arms and has the relevant Certificate of Confirmation.
