The handle is designed for comfortable grip with both big and small palm. The forefinger stop on the steel guard is made without flaws: very smooth, no pressure under load, does not rub corn. The butt, at the area of its junction to the handle, also has a recess for thumb resting.
The steel front bolsters successfully defend the joint of the handle and the blade from any possible mechanical damage. The 3/8 inch thick blade increases smoothly from the handle to the pommel.
Kizlyar F1 posesses excellent balance, the knife neither leans back nor dives forward. It freely hangs on the index finger near the bolsters.
The complete set includes a sturdy leather sheath. The both sides of the sheath are decorated with embossed thematic patterns.
The knife does not apply to melee weapons.
The Kizlyar F1 is declared by the manufacturer as a tourist knife, so its main purpose is cooking, and the gaming of the food for subsequent brewing is secondary task. On the butt of the knife there is an excellent gilling saw.
When cutting vegetables the knife behaves very confidently and freely. The length of the blade is enough to cope with any products: bread, cheese, meat, etc. There is no feeling that you are using not a usual kitchen knife, but a universal tourist one. The knife does not lose its attractive appearance even in prolonged exposure of corrosive environment.
The sheath is a reminiscent of the good old days of touristic romance and harmony with nature – the river, a tent and a kettle on the fire.
The knife perfectly cuts, planes and opens cans. The mass balance of the blade and the handle allows you to work tirelessly for a long time.
