Product Description
The only difference of the pin badge from the previous one appears the absence of the emblem of the USSR Navy – the red five-point star.
The pin badge is awarded by the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Fleet to the naval officers who joined the permanent command of a submarine.
The pin badge is presented only once, in state, at the first entry in the command of a submarine.
The chest pin badge “Captain of a Submarine” is an oxidized metal plate in the form of the profile image of a submarine.
The pin badge’s dimensions: width – 2 3/4 inch, height – 15/16 inch.
On the reverse side there is a pin with a nut to fasten the badge to the military uniform.
The pin badge is worn on the right side of the chest.
The right to wear the chest pin is reserved by the commanders of both surface ships and submarines even after their subsequent appointment as a chief of the staff, a deputy commander or a commander of a squadron, etc.
In case of a transfer which is not related to ship command, the officer still owes the pin badge, but without the right to wear it on the military uniform.
