The dog tag is a relief image of the emblem of the Ukraine Ministry of Emergency Situations (FEMA): a straight-armed cross with divergent orange ends and silvery borders.
In the blue field of a circular medallion in the center of the cross there is the image of trident – the princely sign of Volodymyr the Great’s state – framed by a wreath of oak leaves. On the sides of the cross there are blue equilateral triangles pointed at the center of the emblem. Between the sides of the cross there is a stylized image of orange crests flame bordered silvery.
At the top of the dog tag there is the inscription: “Ukraine”, at the bottom is the abbreviation meaning “FEMA”.
The cross is a traditional form of military awards for orthodox nations. It symbolizes the defense of the motherland and the Faith of Christ.
The orange color of the cross symbolizes danger and emergency.
The blue triangle symbolizes stability and reliability, since the triangle – pyramid – is the most stable of geometric figures.
