Product Description
Dog tag “Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn” is made of stainless steel with enamel. It represents a rare type of the Blessed Virgin’s image without the Babу.
The figure of the Blessed Virgin is entirely closed with gilded silver dress; only bended image and the crossed hands are open. On the head there are two crowns: a baroque crown of the heavenly Queen, a rococo crown of the Queen of Poland.
The Most-Pure Virgin is depicted at the moment of the Annunciation.
Under the icon there is a big crescent, where Our Lady stays surrounded with 12 stars.
A cross and a crescent in an icon symbolize the sun and the moon: the cross acts as a symbol of Christ, callied “The Sun of the Truth”; the moon in Christian tradition symbolizes the Blessed Virgin – “under Her feet there is the moon and on the head – the crown of 12 stars”.
(Revelation, 12:1)
The icon is equally honoured both by orthodoxies and catholic.
