A fabric patch in the form of a greenish-brown pentagonal shield, elongated downwards, with curved top and a khaki edging.
The greenish-brown color (khaki) is the traditional color used in military uniform in order to camouflage.
In the center of the emblem is the image of the waving Russian National Flag.
The officers’ patches additionally bear the emblem of the Armed Forces (placed over the flag) – a silver double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, holding a sword and a laurel wreath.
At the top of the sleeve patch there is the inscription: “RUSSIA”, at the bottom – “ARMED FORCES”.
