The sleeve patch of the maroon color – the color of the Special Forces – in the center of which there is the symbol of all special units of the Internal Troops since the Soviet times – the fist over of the machine gun – showing speed, strength and confidence.
In the background, one after another, there are the MIA emblem (shield and sword) and the State Symbols of Russia – the double-headed eagle on a background of the tri-color flag.
Along the perimeter of the sleeve patch there is the inscription: “Special Forces Detachment.”
On the goldish curly ribbon there is the name of the Detachment – “ROSICH”.
The Detachment was formed in 1992 on the basis of the training special purpose companies of the 100th Interior Troops Division: 46th Regiment “Lion”, 47th Regiment “Scorpion”, 48th Regiment “Typhoon”, and is included in the Division of Novocherkassk.
The “Rosich” Detachment is situated on the territory of the Internal Troops Training Center of the North Caucasus Military District.
The squad is tasked to participate in the disarmament and elimination of illegal armed groups, organized criminal groups, suppression of riots, seizure of illegally held weapons, suppression of terrorist acts, deactivation of hostage-takers, those seized important public facilities and special loads.
