The blade is of a modern clip-point design, which actually points down from the very middle of the knife’s spine and yet has a most sharp point similar to classic clip-points.
The false edge of the knife is not sharpened, however its leading edge is merely 0.5 mm thick, thus it has an immense piercing ability.
The newest ‘river’ series of the Kizlyar knives feature a unique hidden full tang design, whereby the extremely durable Elastron G handle is molded over the tang pressing the guard firmly into place. To ensure the handle will not work its way loose an additional steel pommel is bolted into the bottom of the tang, which acts both as a retainer as well as creating a hard curved surface for breaking ice, glass, etc.
Handy submersible-type sheath is made of thick genuine leather. It can be mounted both to the waist belt and on the free suspension. The whole surface of the sheath is decorated with a thematic pattern making the knife resemblic a piece of art.
The knife does not apply to melee weapons.
The results of the Kizlyar Yenisei-2 testing (according to customer reviews).
Test of the cutting edge durability: “Cut a sheet of corrugated packaging to 152 pieces, and the cardboard went short. The handle is very comfortable, it merges into the hand and you don’t want to unclasp it. The steel remains the same sharp until the end of the cutting. Even the last cut was as confident as the first one”.
Slicing and cutting a wooden board: “The knife was tested with a 1-inch thick dry pine board. I scraped off for 30 seconds. The hand didn’t get tired, and the result was A+. Cutting is a little worse, due to the lack of inertia, I suppose.
A very good handle, when cutting no impact in the arm. After scraping and cutting the pine board, I immediately checked the blade. It still cuts paper steadily and smoothly!”
“When you stab a 4-inches stack of corrugated cardboard sheets, the blade passed through. The handle behaved unexpectedly tenacious: the hand remained in its place. Excellent result.”
“I decided to cut a car tire. Pierced it without any tension, like a balloon. The cut was very easy despite the creaking. The knife cuts as perfect as a razor.” ”
As a result, The Kizlyar Yenisei is a tough knife that is not afraid of any rough and unusual work.
