The knife comes with an ultra durable handle made of Elastron-G.
The shape of the Elastron handle differs from that of the basic model of the knife. The handle has a small stop and protruding corrugations from the finger side. This innovation has made the knife much reliable in the hand held. Besides, elastomer itself feels like rubber. Thus, the handle does not slip even in a humid environment. The lanyard hole is formed by a flared tube of stainless steel.
The knife comes with the immersion-type leather sheath with an additional suspension loop, which gives a considerable freedom. The sheath can be fastened not only in the standard way – on the belt, but can also be hanged handle down on the tactical load-bearing vest.
The knife does not apply to melee weapons, which is confirmed by the corresponding Certificate.
The scandinavian knife, commonly known as Finskiy, or Finka, has been very popular in Russia since the end of the 19th century.
Although in the 1930-ies it was outlawed in the Soviet Union, during the same period a slightly modified Finnish knife was used by the NKVD (later KGB) as a universal melete weapon of a saboteur.
The Kizlyar Finskiy is a shortened version of the classic M95 Peltonen knife. The polished blade is made of high-carbon steel with corrosion protection. The quality of sharpening is excellenty, so is the quality of the knife as a whole.
The handle is made of hard rubber, which repeats the shape of classic handles of the puukko knives. But in its front part there is a distinct stop that allows you to hold the knife not only by “the Finnish grip”, with an emphasis on the palm, but also by the usual straight and diagonal grips.
The handle has transverse incisions in the lower part, which contributes to the safety and convenience of holding.
The sheath is made of genuine leather, which makes the extraction of the knife silent.
The knife of this type is the official armour of the special forces of the Swedish Army.
Based on the convenience of the handle and excellent piercing-and-cutting properties of the blade, the Finnish knife can be confidently considered to be one of the world’s best fighting knives.
The Kizlyar Finskiy is the knife for everyday wear. It enjoys a highest popularity and prestige among hunters, hikers and lovers of beautiful and convenient knives all over the world.
