Igla Kizlyar Knife Para-Cord

The Igla (the word means the “Needle” in Russian) is a multi-pupose light utility knife with very practical drop-point blade ideal for the most of the tasks. The 1/8 inch thick blade is made of Russian 420J (425 mod) high carbon rust resistant steel with Rockwell hardness of 55-57 HRC.

Similar to all of the Kizlyar knives, during the manufacturing special attention is paid to the heat treatment process to allow for easier sharpening and maintenance. The tang is drilled through and wrapped with wearproof para-cord. At any time, if in need, the handle can be easily stripped, and the cord could be used to make a light spear.

Product Description

The durable mirror-polished blade is easy to clean. Besides, the mirror-polished blade can be used as a signal mirror visible from vast distance.

The Igla is classified as an Everyday Carry Knife. It comes with an a easy to clean ABS plastic sheath featuring a handy pocket clip.

The knife does not apply to melee weapons.

The first acquaintance with the Igla knife leaves a pleasant, but ambivalent feeling. At first glance, it is perceived as a toy, but, at the same time, there is something in it that makes you thake it in hand again and again, and to believe in its severity as a full-fledged knife.

Despite the size, the Igla is felt in hand at various grabs quite satisfactory, but the thickness of the handle can not allow to hand it too comfortable. Though, it is very well felt in the palm of a width not exceeding 3/8 inches.

The set includes a quite handy plastic sheath. Due to the special rivet on the knife and the corresponding nest in the sheath, the likelihood of the accidental loss of the knife out of the sheath is zero.

The clip on the sheath provides easy carrying on the belt ща еру width of no more than 1 1/4 inches. When on a broader belt, there is a risk of slipping. In addition, the weight of the knife with sheath allows you to use it as a cervical or pocket knife.

Despite its modest size, the knife Kizlyar Igla is able to cope with the majority of household tasks arising during the holidays, picnics, outings or hikes.

The geometry of the blade, in conjunction with the relatively thick butt (1/8 in), allows you to effortlessly cut products of different hardness. The length of the blade is enough even for such “marker” products as bread or melon.

A small inconvenience associated with the relatively thin handle only occurs when working with very hard materials, such as bones of a well dried fish. During the cut you have to push and make an effort, and, consequently, you may fell unpleasant sensations in the hand. At the same time, the knife is vey handy in carving fresh fish: it is well kept and easily managed.

The Igla also copes with woodwork. The knife can shave small twigs for a fire, sharpen wooden pegs or chop thick (up to 2 inches) branches into quarters. This is particularly relevant if you constantly use a compact oven or its equivalent for boiling water or cooking.

The Knife Kizlyar Igla is attractive to those who want a small and lightweight camp knife, for example, to mushroom pickers. Also, it could be used as a neck or a spare knife.

When you first look at the Voron-3 Kizlyar knife you immediately dream of owning it.

The knife is made laconically, without any frills. The handle’s elastron and anti-glare coating of the blade give it a kind of tactic orientation.

The Voron (“Raven” in Russian) is one of Kizlar’s first duo-form military knives. It is produced since the very early days of the manufacture. The version #3 is sold chiefly in Russia, for the particular design (without a prominent finger guard) does not fall under the “cold weapon legislation/restrictions”.

“Zodiac” is an original, artistically decorated tourist knife.

The unique shape of the blade is the “calling card” of the knife.

On both sides of the blade, there is an embossed three-dimensional pattern of a Zodiac sign, made by deep etching. The details requiring fine work are carried out by hand.

A great gift for the real tourists and hunters.

The blade does not get blunt or rust.
