The eagle is crowned with three crowns connected with a ribbon. On the eagle’s chest there is a triangular elongated downward shield with carved top corners. The shield is black. In the shield there is a vertically located golden scepter – the symbol of the supreme state power, intertwined with golden lightings (arrows) – the historic symbol of postal and telegraph service.
At the background of the sleeve patch there are the colors of Russian National Flag. The inscription along the perimeter reads: “Federal Agency for Government Communications and Information Under the President of the Russian Federation.”
The FAGCI main activities are: organization of government communications, safety of state secrets, conduction of foreign intelligence activities, collection and providing information for decision making concerning security, defense, economy, science and technology, and international affairs.
