This colorful cloth patch is worn on the sleeve of the military outer space forces and armed forces of Russia. The descending, horizontal stripes are in deep blue, blue, white and red. These create the encircled background, for the small emblem, which shows a ready for launch silver spaceship.
From the top part of ellipse, are two symmetrical, triangular segments. From the lower part of the spaceship is a red quadrangle with the inner lower angle.
The spaceship represented is in the vertical acute-angled triangle. the globe is divided into four horizontal stripes: The first from the top, is the military outer space forces: it is dark blue, the second is white, the third is blue and the fourth is red. From the top part of ellipse there are two symmetrical triangular segments. From the lower part of the spaceship is a red quadrangle in the lower angle.
The elements of the emblem symbolize:
a) the contoured, ready for launch, silver spaceship on the background of the globe, representing the Russian achievement in the field of mastering and controlling outer space, to fortify defense capability and security for the armed forces and the country,
for the sake of keeping the peace and supporting universal safety.
b) the emblem colors of the sphere are the military force’s activity in outer space.
The dark blue color is the symbol of the universe, the white color is the symbol of outer space, the blue color is the symbol of air and red is the symbol of the earth.
c) two symmetrical triangular segments, symbolize the antenna, which directs the space vehicle and used to control outer space;
d) the red quadrangle, in the lower part of the spaceship, symbolizes the spaceship’s flame as it is launched.
