The Kizlyar T-1 combines the properties of a light ax, a carving knife and a survival knife. It copes with a range of difficult camping and hunting tasks. The powerful blade provides the false edge on the butt. This is used for cutting bones and thick branches. The handle ends with flat metal protrusion used as a hammer and an ice ax.

Kizlyar Karachaevskiy (Karachai) is an absolutely authentic knife designed and developed in ancient times of the Caucasian peoples.
Along with a gun, a sword and a dagger, a knife is a compulsory element of the traditional gear of the mountain-dweller.
The Karachaevskiy is a versatile multi-function knife with a straight blade and wedge sharpening. There is a slight slope on the front of the butt. The rounding the tip of the blade is not very sharp (semi-skinner). This protects you from inevidental cutting the skin and viscera while butchering.
Strazh (Guard) is the knife designed and originally made under the order of the Russian FSB (former KGB). And it is still widely used – mostly as a back up weapon – by the undercover field officers.

The Russian word “Egerskiy” means “made for huntsmen, foresters, or hunters”.

The distinctive feature of Kizlyar U-7 is strict and elegant design – as if the medium-size blade is slightly tilted forward, the oval handle is slightly arched.
