The patch is a modern replica of emblem of the USSR Marine Corps (standard of 1963).
The emblem is a circular black shield with a red piping. In the center of the shield there is a relief image of an a golden anchor braided with a rope.
The motto of the Russian Marine Corps: “There, Where We Go, There is Victory!”
