Product Description
The icon is one of the most famous Russian icons. They come with fatal problems to it. God is just, but He can be tough with those who want too much for themselves and do not think about others. If one’s request pursues a profit motive or prejudices the interests of other people, he/she could only worsen the situation. Before praying to the Trinity one needs to understand him/herself, to clearly and specifically formulate the request.
The icon is a symbolic image of the triune God. To portray the inexpressible is prohibited, since no one has ever seen God. Therefore, the canonical image of the Holy Trinity is considered only an expression of God’s incarnation in a symbolic form.
The Icon of the Holy Trinity, painted by Ven. Andrei Rublev, considered the peak of Russian iconography. It depicts three angels, a table ( the repast of the Lord ), a winebowl (the purgatorial sacrifice). On the background there is a mountain (the symbol of Calvary
Although the figures of the angels do not convey any clearly marked individual incarnations of God, each of the angels has its own personality and symbolism.
Andrei Rublev managed to laconically and simply express the spiritual essence of the Holy Trinity.
Like the Church Icons plated with a gilded riza (a metal plating on an icon), the Icon of the Easter Egg is framed with a superimposed decorative pattern.
Each of the Eggs is unique because its components are hand-made and manually assembled. Thus there are no existing absolutely identical copies of any of the Easter Eggs offered to your attention.
According to the Russian Orthodox tradition, all of the products offered (icons, pectoral crosses, candles, church plate elements) are sanctified in the Temple by sprinkling with Holy water.
Michael – :
I’ve bought a few easter eggs. The price matches the quality. But the more expensive they are, the better is the quality. Since the eggs are really cut by hand, you can’t guess what will be the stand.
I suppose the stand on the picture is just a sample.
All the rest is the best!
